Do I have to pay to use the Rec. Center?
The Rec. Center is open to all students during the academic year and summer sessions upon payment of student fees and with a valid UNCW ID.

Can I get into the Rec. Center if I lose my ID?
Students, faculty and staff members who have lost their IDs must have them replaced at Auxiliary Services to be admitted into the Rec. Center. If any ID is temporarily misplaced a temporary ID may be obtained from Auxiliary Services for a 48 hour period at no charge.

What do I do if my ID does not work?
Students, faculty and staff members who have IDs that do not work must also have them checked/replaced at Auxiliary Services.

Can I bring a guest to the SRC?
SRC members are allowed to sponsor two guests at the SRC for a $5 fee per guest (UNSea card, cash or check payable to UNCW). The two-guest limit is due to the current student usage and space capacity within the Student Recreation Center.

Can I buy a membership for my spouse?

The following persons are eligible to purchase membership to use the Student Recreation Center:
- Resident contractors, Visiting Professors, Adjunct Faculty.
- Spouse/Domestic partner of permanent/retired employees only.

Can I bring my little brother/sister or my son/daughter to the Rec. Center?
Children under the age of 17 may not use the SRC from 5:00 p.m. Sunday through 4:00 p.m. Friday during the academic year due to the high volume of usage by our currently enrolled students, faculty and staff. Children are considered guests of members and must abide by the guest policy.

Can I bring a guest to the pool?
The pool is available for use at designated times by UNCW students, faculty and staff with a UNCW ID card. Use by anyone else is only with approval of the University Aquatics Director.

Can I use the Rec. Center after I graduate?
Current year December and May graduates

How do I register for intramural's?

How do I join a sport club?

What is the difference between intramural's and sport clubs?
Intramural's are organized individual and team sports on campus organized for students, faculty and staff. Sport clubs are recognized student organizations that may be instructional, recreational or competitive in nature. Clubs travel and compete off campus.

How do I sign up for a personal trainer?
Complete a personal training/fitness assessment request form available at the SRC lobby desk, fitness center desk and the Campus Recreation office .

Do I have to pay for group exercise classes?
No, there is no additional charge to participate in group exercise classes offered at the Student Recreation Center.

Do you have an outdoor program?
Yes, Discover is the outdoor component of campus recreation (Discover Outdoors)

Do I have to pay to use the climbing wall?
There is currently no cost associated with using the climbing wall. All equipment is provided.
