Seaweed Ultimate was created 20 years ago in 1989. During the 1990’s and early 2000s the team was a dominate player on the national stage, including winning Nationals in 1992 and 1996. For the past few years the players of Seaweed have worked hard to bring the team back to the top spot by winning 2009 NC Sectionals and 2009 Atlantic Coast Regionals, and placing 11th in the nation at the 2009 UPA College Championships. Most women learn ultimate frisbee in college, so don't worry if you have never played the sport before, we will teach you! |
