Surf Clinics
Join us for Funboard Fridays! You can’t truly go Teal until you’ve found yourself on a surf board riding waves on the Carolina Coast. Take advantage of one of the area’s most amazing resources and learn the basics of surfing with the Discover Outdoor Center.

Kayak Clinics

Beginner Kayak Clinics
Join us for the basics! Learn about kayak equipment, paddle strokes, and kayak exits and entries in open water from the Discover Outdoor Center staff in the safety of Hanover Natatorium.

Intermediate Kayak Clinic
If you have the basics down, this is the clinic for you! In this clinic, you will learn to enter your boat in open water and assist in the open water rescue of other kayakers.

Wilderness Emergencies/Patient Assessment
Unfortunately, accidents happen in the wilderness. This course will help you with some basics beyond standard first aid to help with assessment and response when dealing with wilderness emergencies.
