Meet With a Career Counselor
Need to choose a major?
Not sure where to begin your job search?
Want to write a resume and cover letter?
Just want to talk to someone about what to do after graduation?
Resume writing, mock interviews, career decision-making, job searching and career assessment interpretation are a few of the many topics that can be covered in a career counseling session. Counseling is available to any UNCW student or alumni. Students are assigned a counselor based on their academic major or interest so that counselors may share more specialized information. Appointments are scheduled in one hour blocks, but the actual length of the appointment is determined by student need.
Students who are interested in scheduling an appointment with a career counselor may do so by calling the Career Center at 910-962-3174 or stopping by the office in University Union 2035. Appointments are available Monday-Friday between the hours of 9am - 4pm.
Students may also take advantage of career information provided by Career Specialists, paraprofessional student employees of the Career Center. Career Specialists can often provide immediate assistance to basic career questions.
