Division of Student Affairs - Dean of Students
Seahawk Perch
Coordinator of Commuter &
Non-Traditional Student Services

Dana McKoyWelcome! My name is Dana McKoy, and I am the Coordinator of Commuter & Non-Traditional Student Services at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. I am proud to say that I was both a commuter and non-traditional undergraduate student at UNCW, so I am very excited about serving in this position and expanding upon all of the wonderful programs the Seahawk Perch has offered in the past!

I have worked in the Office of the Dean of Students since November 2001, and have been blessed with the opportunity of working with many talented students and colleagues who I now consider friends. In addition to managing the Seahawk Perch, UNCW's Commuter & Non-Traditional Student Services Center, I also serve on several committees within the Division of Student Affairs, serving as both a liaison and advocate for the commuter and non-traditional student population.

I encourage you to take advantage of the resources we offer here for both commuter and non-trad students. Whether you need information about off-campus housing, childcare, transportation to and from campus, or simply managing multiple priorities as a student, please visit us in the Fisher Student Center, room 1012, or browse this Web site to find out more about our programming. I am also available for one-on-one consultations to answer any questions and address any concerns you may have relating to being a commuter or non-trad student.

I would love to hear any of your comments or suggestions on this Web site, or any of the services or programs that we currently offer. You can reach me by calling 910-962-7371 or emailing me at mckoyd@uncw.edu.

I hope you are enjoying your tour of our site, and I look forward to meeting you "at the Perch!"
