New Student Sign-up Training Materials

The room and roommate preference selection will be available on SeaPort/RMS on February 1, 2009 through May 18, 2009.

Three Steps to Successfully Complete your UNCW Housing Contract.

1) Read all information and view the available Training Materials below.

2) Return the Housing Contract and the non-refundable $105 Housing Fee to the Office of Housing and Residence Life. The Housing Contract is located in the back of the Housing Booklet. You may also pay the $105 dollar contract fee online through Seaport.

3) Log onto Seaport and select the On-campus Housing Link between February 1, 2009 and May 18, 2009 to check your housing contract status and make your room and roommate preferences.

* Users of the on-line RMS housing system should use a PC with Internet Explorer as the Web browser.

Housing and Residence Life will be mailing Housing Booklets to new students, as they are admitted to the university.  Once you have completed the Housing contract and paid the $105 dollar non-refundable Housing contract fee (Contract available in the back of the Housing Booklet), you will be able to go online through SeaPort to make the $105 non-refundable Housing Contract Fee Payment, and between Febrauary 1, 2009 and May 18, 2009 to choose your preferences.

In the back of the brochure, you will find the Housing contract.  Please detach it from the booklet, complete the information, and return it to the Housing Office.  Along with the contract, you must pay the $105 non-refundable fee, which can be paid by check or via online payment on SeaPort.  Once the Housing Office receives both your contract and payment, we will provide you with a contract completion date.  Students are encouraged to go online through SeaPort and fill out residence hall preferences, as well as roommate preferences.  Please know that in filling out these preferences, you are NOT guaranteed your choice of placement.  These are just requests.

Prior to June 1, 2009, the Housing Office will run an automated housing process based on the student's contract completion date.  The sooner you complete your contract and send it in along with your payment, the better your chances are of receiving your first-choice housing assignment.

*The Office of Housing and Residence Life does not guarantee a particular housing assignment

*First-year incoming freshmen who contract with our office prior to May 1, 2009 are guaranteed an on-campus housing assignment.  All other students will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis dependant upon space availability.

* Users of the on-line RMS housing system should use a PC with Internet Explorer as the Web browser.

Training Materials are available in HTML format.  However, you must have Flash Media installed on your computer.  It's easy! It's free!  Get it here. Get Adobe Flash Player Here!

* Users of the on-line RMS housing system should use a PC with Internet Explorer as the Web browser.
