Commencement Application, Eligibility, and Diplomas

 

 

 

Commencement Application

Graduates are required to apply for graduation prior to their Commencement.  Please refer to the important dates and information below to ensure you have completed all the steps necessary to graduate from UNCW.

Commencement Application Deadlines

Spring 2010 November 16, 2009
Summer/Fall 2010 April 15, 2010
Spring 2011 November 15, 2010
Summer/Fall 2011 April 15, 2011

 

Note to Walker Applicants:

Students may be allowed to participate in the graduation ceremony if they have completed requirements for graduation or if they are expected to meet the graduation requirements with the completion of one course of up to four hours during the term immediately following the graduation ceremony.  Students who are one course short must notify the Office of the Registrar by the end of the seventh week of the semester (February 19, 2010) of their intent to participate in the ceremony.  This application to participate (walk) in the ceremony is in addition to the degree application that all graduating students must complete.  Their names will not be published in the Commencement program.

 

Eligibility

Students who have applied for graduation and have completed all degree requirements during the spring 2010 semester are eligible to participate in the spring Commencement ceremonies. Contact the Office of the Registrar at 910.962.3125 if you have questions about your eligibility.

 

Diplomas

Undergraduate and graduate diplomas will be mailed from the Office of the Registrar to the graduate's permanent address within eight weeks of Commencement.  Review your permanent address on SeaNet or in the Office of the Registrar and correct if necessary.
