The University Learning Center (ULC) utilizes an online appointment system for all Learning Services (Basic Studies) tutoring, Writing Services tutoring, and Study Skills consultations.   Thoroughly read the following directions before making a tutoring appointment:

You must be on campus to make your appointment online.

Appointments must be scheduled at least one day in advance!

HOW TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT:

1. Log in using your UNCW username and password.
2. From the main page, click the “Go To…” drop box in the upper right hand corner of the page
3. Click “Make Appointment,” and then select the appropriate center (LEARNING, WRITING, or STUDY). For LEARNING, you also must select your course.
4. Click the “Search” button
5. Scroll to the bottom of the screen to see the appointment times that are available.
   Note: If the search yields no results, you may need to expand your date range under the "Available to " column (set appointments up to 2 weeks in advance!).
6. Click on the availability (day and time) you want.
7. On the next screen, select your course from the ‘Request Help In’ drop box, then click the “Save Appointment” button.

Your upcoming appointment will be shown at the top of the next screen.You will receive an e-mail confirming your appointment.

*Learning Services Tutoring only - If a tutor is not available for the course in which you are enrolled, come to our office to fill out a “Request for Tutoring” form to initiate a tutor search. NO PHONE REQUESTS, PLEASE!

*All Writing Consultations are One Hour! We no longer do "drop-in" writing appointments!

HOW TO CANCEL AN APPOINTMENT:

You must be on campus to cancel your appointment online.

• Login, following the instructions above.
• On the Main Page, look through your list of appointments.
• Click the date of the one you want to delete.
• Click the ‘Delete’ button on the next page.

Appointments must be cancelled at least one day before they are scheduled to occur!
