Emily Adams CRLA Regular Certified Tutor BIO 201 |
Emily Adams is a great leader who helped me learn the course material in depth. Attending Emily's sessions helped to make things a little clearer, and point out something that i may have missed during class lecture She is a smart girl, very energetic. Once she jumped off of a chair to display transfer of energy. That visual was helpful. Her sessions helped me to not be afraid to ask questions when I didn't understand. Her review sheets always helped me a lot.

Chet Saunders CRLA Master Certified Tutor Office: Friday Hall Hours: T 12-5PM R 12-2PM BIO 201 |
The talks on study skills were really helpful. I like the humor and real life examples he used to explain things, It made it really easy to recall during exams. SI has improved my overall learning experience because Chet was always willing to help out and explain any question concerning Biology. Because he explained so much, I was able to maintain a B in the course. Chet has done an amazing job! Without his assistance I know many people who would have not passed the Biology tests. He is very helpful and always prepared. |

Lindsey DeFalco SIL in Training
BIO 202 |
For the first test i got a D-, I went to a couple SI sessions for the next test and i got a C+, for the most recent test, I went to all of them and i got a B+. They have saved my grade! Lindsay was a great...always upbeat and funny, and obviously very driven. Lindsey was an awesome SI leader, her jeopardy games were creative, helpful, and a fun way to study = ) Tonight was my first night going and now I really wish I had started going earlier. I learned so much. SI has helped me learn a lot more than I do from my lectures since you can get individual attention and questions answered during sessions. |

SI for my Anatomy class ensures that I study a little each week and don't save all of my studies for right before the exam. I really feel that my Anatomy SI sessions did a good job of creating an active learning environment! SI really helped me want to review the material for my class. I looked forward to seeing other people's ideas on how to study for the material, and it was overall a great help. BIO 240 SI sessions helped me know what was important in the notes and what to focus on when studying on my own. |

Leah Mayo CRLA Master Certified Tutor CHM 101 |
Leah has a way of explaining things on my level that makes it very easy to understand. Leah's sessions built my confidence. I feel more prepared for tests after attending the sessions. Leah is an amazing SI leader. She is always prepared with practice problems. She also reminded us of "tricks" and different ways professors may ask questions to check that students know the concepts. Being able to hear the professor talk in lecture and then going to another class and have Leah break down the problems and explain them has helped me very much on the exams. |

Diana Luckhardt SIL in Training CHM 211

Diana was very very friendly and would stay over the allotted time if she needed to, to answer additional questions or to clarify things for us. She usually has to teach me what's going on before we can work practice problems. Then, when I get to lecture the next time, I know everything Dr. Mead is about to say. It's so helpful! :) At times, I learned more about a particular topic in the SI session than I did in the lecture. Just hearing the material again from Diana and having it explained in a different way really helped. |

Erik Minges CRLA Master Certified Tutor PHY 201/202 |
Drilling the concepts each session enables me to retain things for a longer period of time. Erik was willing to go over & beyond to help students. SI has helped me get better grades. PHY SI has encouraged us to form a study group so that we have questions to present to our SI Leader. Erik was a very helpful tutor who truly helped me understand how to solve physics problems.

Bryan Black SIL in Training PHY 101/102 |
Thank you Bryan! You made a huge difference, saved my life (aka GPA), and you saved me from a lot of tears and restless nights thinking about physics. He always responds quickly and never leaves us unanswered. I can easily confess that without Bryan's guidance, I would not be passing this course. We could not have asked for a better SI Leader. I didn't go to any SI sessions before the first exam and I got a D-, I went to two SI sessions before the second exam and I got a B. I think SI sessions helped me A LOT.
