Academic Interests
My field of study is social policy and social administration, involving the history, development, and substance of social welfare provision. Principal areas of teaching include American social welfare history, social programming and policy analysis, and ethics as applied to both social policy and social work practice. My main areas of research include the development of social welfare and the influence of social ideals, the character of the social work profession, and social service organization and management.
