Faculty Merit Scholarship

Please join your colleagues in creating an endowed Faculty Merit Scholarship. The recipients will be known as Faculty Scholars. As faculty members, we teach, inspire and encourage students. And they, in turn, bring a fresh perspective and enthusiasm for knowledge to the classroom. It’s a partnership that fosters a unique learning environment and benefits us all.

How will recipients be chosen?

This scholarship will be administered by the Honors Program and will have a faculty member on the selection committee.

How can I give?

There are many ways. By check or credit card, through payroll deduction or a gift of appreciated securities. Or, you may find that a gift of real estate or a planned gift (bequest, annuity or trust) is more suited to your financial situation. Please contact University Advancement at 962-3751 for more information.

How does payroll deduction work?

You specify the amount you would like deducted from each paycheck and the length of time. For example, an annual gift of $72 would be just $6 per month through payroll deduction.

Your Participation is Important

There are approximately 800 full and part-time faculty members at UNCW. If each of us made an annual gift of $72, we would have $57,600 for the Faculty Merit Scholarship.
