Attending a university of UNCW’s caliber represents an extraordinary opportunity. It is an opportunity the UNCW Parents Council hopes to preserve for the bright, deserving students of UNCW. The Parents Council seeks to enrich students’ lives on campus and in the classroom.
The Division of Student Affairs has embarked on a University Union project that will double the size of the Union space and programs available to the students on campus. We strive to give the students an incredible experience on campus with special programming, meeting space, social space and dining options. By opening a new Student Center and renovating the existing University Union and Burney Center, we hope to create a Core Campus for students, a natural gathering place.
The UNCW Parents Council has agreed to give this project the finishing touch it needs by building a Colonnade that will connect all three buildings. This Colonnade will instill in our students a sense of tradition and pride in their alma mater. The Colonnade will become a permanent symbol of excellence at UNCW and all will know it was made possible through the generosity of the Parents Council of UNCW.
